Full Description: Casa Colinita is a 2 year-old property recently remodeled to provide a high standard of luxury and convenience. The property is located in Tamarindo, seconds away from the town and beach by car - and less than a 10 minute walk.
The house is very private and surrounded by lush tropical foliage. Although very close to all that Tamarindo has to offer, no houses or lights are visible from the property, offering the ultimate in relaxation and rest.
Casa Colinita in Spanish means "house on a little hill". The house is three stories which places the second a third floors of the house at or above the jungle canopy. Our guests enjoy living in the famous Costa Rica canopy close to Howler Monkeys and numerous species of birds and butterflies. It truly has the feel of living in a huge tree house. Amazing and unusual birds frequent the tree surrounding the property and can be easily viewed from the decks.
Located in the rear of the property is a "rancho". These are common in Costa Rica and consist of a covered patio. The rancho has electricity, a fan, a gas barbeque and hammock. If you get a little hot, take a dip in the pool right next to the rancho. To provide security for my guests, there is a fence around the property. There is also a child gate to keep unattended children away from the pool area. A safe is provided for your valuables.
Inside the house, there is a large kitchen and living area downstairs, plus two bedrooms and a bath. Upstairs are 3 more bedrooms and another bath. There are 2 double beds, 4 twin beds, and 2 sofa sleepers. Outside you will find decks on both levels, with the deck on the upper level affording a view of the ocean.
